Worked out on a concept of Dominique Di PIAZZA in collaboration with the Luthier Mike SABRE.
The Dominique Di PIAZZA FRETLESS BRIDGE gives an extraordinary accoustic sound just like the Fretless Bass.

"I have transformed myself a bridge by adding some elements in order to obtain a Fretless Bass sound on a Fretted bass in1989.
I used this sound in the main recordings of my career, and for the first time in the album :
PADRE
Jean-Pierre Como Trio
Editeur : Bleu Citron
Sortie : 1989
then:
QUE ALEGRIA
John McLaughlin Trio: Verve Music Group (1992) Cut#2 BaBa
WAIT AND SEE
Michael Blass (1993) plage n° 1: B.SHARP CDS 089
FRONT PAGE
avec Birelli Lagrene et Denis Chambers◦ en 2000: Front page Universal/Emarcy
WOMAN'S PERFUME
Antonio FARAO: cam jazz 2008 harmonia mundi
PRINCESS SITA
(2008) Sunnyside records
The first time I used this bridge in the USA, it was with “John Mc Laughlin trio” in concert, on a Ballad in front of bassist John Pattitucci. At the end of the concert, he comes to me astonished and says : " it is the first time of my life that I ear someone play Frettless Bass so much “in tune !“ .
This anecdote shows quite well the interest of the “ Dominique Di PIAZZA frettless Bridge”.
- It gives the “Muahh” of the fretless without the inconvienient of playing “out of tune”... - It allows you also to play cords. - Open strings have an incredible sound like the “sitar bass” et and gives enormous sustain. - You can use it like a regular fretted bass. - The wooden saddles give the Bass a more natural sound. - Helps you to keep your style of playing whyle addind expression and Character."
